I’ve been watching reruns of Gossip Girl a lot lately and am obsessed with the different characters’ styles on the show. I’ve already done a post on Blair Waldorf’s style and Serena Van der Woodsen’s look, so I wanted to continue the series and feature Jenny, Dan’s little sister on the show. In the beginning of the show, little J had a very sweet, innocent look, but as it progressed, her look evolved into an edgy, grungy chic look. Jenny’s style is very downtown punk now and so is her hair and makeup.

Jenny goes heavy on the eye makeup and pretty bare for the rest of her face.
Tip: Do the eye makeup first, in case there’s any fallout.
Step 1. Prime eye lids with favorite eye primer.
Step 2: Using a soft, black pencil (my favorite is Mac Feline because of its creaminess), line the upper and lower lash lines thicker than you normally would.
Step 3: Using a Q-tip, smudge the eyeliner out a bit. (It’s ok if it looks messy!)
Step 4: Take a charcoal grey shadow and with a brush, pat it onto the lid, over the liner. Take it up a little past the crease. Then, with a crease brush, apply black shadow to the crease, concentrating on the outer corner for a little depth. With a small eye brush, take the charcoal shadow down to the lower lashline.
Step 5: Blend everything out with a blending brush (like the Mac 224 brush).
Step 6: Apply a bunch of coats of your favorite black mascara.
Step 7: Apply usual foundation (keep it on the matte side for this look), concealer and powder where necessary.
Step 8: Sweep a bit of pale peach or rose blush to cheeks for a little color. Make sure it’s subtle!
Step 9: Swipe on a nude lipstick or gloss. (I love the Lady Gaga Viva Glam II lipstick.)
