Inspiration: Parisian Style

Hey Everyone,

I just got back from Paris on Friday and though still jet-lagged, have decided to write a post inspired by style from the ultimate fashion capitol. I’ve always wanted to go to Paris since I was a little girl and now that I’ve gone, I can say that the city is truly beautiful and inspiring. Of course, I noticed the street style while I was there and fell in love with Parisians’ chic, put-together look. It’s still cool out right now there, so I don’t know what they wear in the summer, but I did notice a few key staples remixed over and over again. So here are the basics…

1. Leather Jacket

I literally saw women wearing leather jackets everywhere, good thing I brought mine! I’m a huge fan of this look anyways, so seeing it everywhere only made me want to have more. If you can, I would recommend splurging on real leather (my Zara jacket is one of my favorite items in my closet) but you can always go with vegan leather or faux leather as well.

2. Skinny Jeans

These may already be a staple of yours, but dark skinny jeans were paired perfectly with leather jackets, t shirts, and ballet flats in France.

3. Scarves

Almost everyone was wearing a scarf (granted it was a little cold) and the scarves were usually just simple wrap scarves in solid colors. They were the perfect finishing touch to any look and added a little polish.

4. Ballet Flats

Classic ballerinas in different colors were definitely the shoe of choice. They look chic and appropriate for running around during the day.

5. Classic leather bags

As a total handbag lover myself, I was obsessed with all of the buttery soft leather totes, satchels, and cross bodies seen on the arms of the most fashionable Parisians. Invest in a buttery soft everyday bag in a neutral color.

Here’s how to wear it all together…

Parisian Style

That’s all for now,
until next time.
xoxo Liza
